An accident is never expected, but excellent legal representation should be.

Estate Administration

At the Sayegh Law firm, after a loved one has died, we offer the legal services involved in seeking a Decree admitting a Will to probate and appointing an Executor through the preparation and filing of a Petition and supporting documents with the Surrogate’s Court. Once the Will has been admitted to probate, we can represent the appointed Executor throughout the probate process. Sayegh Law’s real estate department can handle the sale or transfer of ownership of real property owned by the Estate.

When there is no Will, the Sayegh Law firm can prepare and file an Administration Petition for the appointment of an Administrator of the Estate so that the deceased person’s assets can be protected and distributed in accordance with the law.

When there is a dispute concerning the validity of a Will or disagreements over the meaning of the provisions in a Will, a Trust, or the actions of a Trustee, the Sayegh Law firm can provide legal counsel and, when applicable, pursue our client’s rights through litigation. The Surrogate’s Court is the name of the Court that handles these matters, and the Sayegh Law firm is experienced in assisting its clients in these types of proceedings.

Our Trusts and Estates team knows you need your questions answered, and the size of our practice allows individual attention for each of our clients. Whether you require Estate Planning or Estate Administration, we can provide access to experienced legal counsel to address your needs.
